Those ambiguous fb posts that people post about things they don’t want to talk about
I never know what to say to these people when I see them irl. Cool, now I have to ask you how you are and tiptoe around the bajillion vague quotes and songs you’ve posted about the decline of your marriage and sound surprised when you bring it up.
Or worse, when I ask someone how they are and they look at me surprised and say “Haven’t you seen my fb?” When I haven’t.
Maybe I’m just paranoid but, I can’t stand the idea of people reading too far into things I post. I’ve even avoided listening to certain songs on Spotify because I don’t want people asking me why I’m “so sad” or if I miss my ex or something.
No, I’m fine. I just wanted to listen to that old ass Dido album because that was my shit when I was 14. If feelings arise at any point I prefer to just spew them to my friends via text at 2am, thanks.
